PRG has a long history of hosting placement students, and is able to tailor internships to each individual's needs and interests. At the moment we are currently experiencing a high number of requests for internships and volunteering opportunities and we are unable to accept any more applications until April 2014.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Community Relations Intern
Location: Peace and Reconciliation Group, Derry/Londonderry
Stipend: Unpaid internship
Dates of Position: Flexible
Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 months to 1 year maximum, full or part time
Supervisor: Anna Murray, Project Officer
Summary of Position:
Most interns will report directly to the Project Officer and assist with the organisation and delivery of community projects that are deemed most suitable. PRG recognises that each intern will have different skills, expertise and areas of interest when they embark on their placement; therefore responsibilities may vary in order to tailor each individual's experience. Interns are also welcome to participate in any relevant trainings delivered by PRG while on their placement.
Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
Proof of insurance
Code of Conduct:
Interns must
Maintain a mature, responsible and respectful attitude
Demonstrate a degree of background knowledge on Northern Ireland
Show sensitivity to the issues involved in living within a divided society
Show understanding and appreciation towards confidentiality
Converse with staff members before doing anything on behalf of PRG
