Course
The course aims to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to facilitate a wide variety of groups.

Aims:

  • Learn about group dynamics, facilitation skills in community relations work, facilitation aids, icebreakers, trust exercises and dealing with conflict,
  • Help participants understand the necessity of building group cohesion, trust and examine ways of creating a safe environment,
  • Help participants understand legal/confidentiality issues in facilitation,
  • Provided an understanding of monitoring their own skills as facilitators,
  • Through experiential learning, examine stages of group development, and
  • Provide participants with an understanding of different methods of evaluation for the funders, organisations, participants and tutors.
