Intermediate Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills

Course:
This course is designed to develop the skills of those who have completed our introductory course on conflict resolution and mediation skills or any other recognised conflict resolution prgramme. The course is delivered through an experiential learning process that will include role-plays and reflective feedback by tutors and peers. The participants will be introduced to a facilitative mediation process that will focus on a six-stage model of mediation.

Aims:

Understand the different responses to conflict and examine how behaviour contributes to conflict,
Introduce participants to a facilitative mediation process,
Give participants practice in co-mediation,
Develop questioning techniques,
Helps participants use a range of skills and recognise the appropriate use of a caucus in a mediation session, and
Teach participants to write a balanced agreement.
