Director - Michael Doherty

Michael Doherty has been involved in full time community work since 1987. Since then he has become recognised as one of the leading trainers and facilitators in this field of work. He initiated the first ever Community Relations Action Learning Programmes in the early 90's and has designed Open College Network Programmes on exploring Diversity- Facilitating Community Relations Work; Group Work and Facilitation skills as well as Introduction to Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills and Advanced Mediation Skills. He is committed to tackling sectarianism at every opportunity and is committed to building a peaceful society that is free of threat and violence.

Office Manager / Finance - Shirley Brace.

Shirley Brace is from the Waterside and has worked for the Peace & Reconciliation Group since 1990. Shirley has many years experience in administration and the processing of funds. Shirley also has an interest in community development issues and gives a considerable amount of her personal time to encouraging and developing community empowerment. If you call to the office, Shirley will most likely be your first point of contact.

Training Officer

Catherine Mc Colgan

Catherine joined the PRG in July 2006 as the Community Relations Project Officer and now works as the training officer with the organisation. Originally from County Donegal Catherine has lived and worked in Derry/Londonderry area for the last 10 years. After completing her degree in Psychology with Organisational Sciences at Magee University she worked in the Education Service of the Heritage and Museum Service of Derry City Council for 6 years. During this period she also undertook youth work training with Border Horizons and REACH Across in the city. Catherine has undertaken studies in Community Relations, facilitation skills and Conflict Resolution and Mediation Training.

Office Adminstrator - Teresa Melaugh

Teresa is the most recent addition to the PRG staff. She joined PRG in October 2003 as the part-time office adminstrator. She comes to us from Shantallow and attended St. Bridget's College. After College, she completed a two year office training programme at Shantallow Training Services. She gained valuable experience working in various office jobs before taking time from work to have a family. After having two lovely children, Teresa decided to re-enter the workforce. She assists the staff in various adminstrative tasks and PRG are thrilled to have her on board.
