Course Aims:
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skill, knowledge
and confidence to facilitate cross community work with diverse groups:
Course
Objectives:
* Understand and practice facilitation skills necessary for community
relation's work.
* Have knowledge of history since the Act of Union in 1801.
* Design a programme for respective age groups.
* Have an awareness of how to develop an Anti-Sectarian Policy.
* Be able to differentiate between prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination,
racism and sectarianism.
* Understand demographic changes in Northern Ireland.
* Candidates will devise, facilitate and evaluate a community relation's
programme.
* Understand the concept of citizenship.
Duration:
60 hours teaching, 60 hours home study
