This accredited course is designed to help participants build an initial understanding of the role of mediation in conflict situations. It will provide clear working definitions of mediation, the processes involved and the skills needed in mediation. The course will give the participants clear strategies into how and why mediation should be used in various situations such as the workplace, in the community and in divorce and separation cases.
This training is suitable for staff members from all sections of the statutory and voluntary sector, private sector companies, community workers, teachers, youth workers, solicitors, human resource officers and those considering becoming mediators.

This course is accredited through the Northern Ireland Open College Network at level 2 with 3 credits. On successful completion of this course participants may progress to PRG's other mediation courses.
Duration: This is a 3 day course, with some home study required to complete a learning journal.
