The
Peace and Reconcilation Group (PRG) was founded in 1976 as a local group
of the Northern Ireland Peace People. Two years later, it became an independant
body, continuing the grassroots work that it's founders began in the communities
of Derry/Londonderry. The work of PRG involves building bridges between
the religious/cultural communities that have been polarised by the historical
and political events that have occurred in Northern Ireland over the past
30 years. PRG achieves this through providing such programmes and services
to the community as: |
|
- Groups
and Projects
- Single-Identity/Capacity Building
- Cross-Community
- Cross-Border
- Dialogue-Based
- Community
Relations-Based Training
- Negotiation/Conflict
Resolution
- A Mediation
Service
- Strategic
Planning
- Conferences
and Seminars
- Consultancy
in Programme Planning

Our Strategic
Objectives Are:
- To respond
to community priorities with actions to improve intra- and inter- community
relations.
- To set
in place building blocks for the proactive development of community
relations practice.
- To develop
opportunities and programmes that can ensure that the community has
the skills and resources to make community relations an essential part
of overall development programmes.
